Time line of Inventions_ TASK

What is the difference between an Invention and a Discovery?

Can you name some inventions and some discoveries of humans in the past till now.

Can some of human endeavors be called both invention and discovery?

Taking an example of something big (ancient like the pyramids OR modern like the Eiffel tower) tell us some invention and discoveries used in them.

Trace the history of an invention and a discovey. Your write up should include how it came about to see the light of day, who was/were the people involved, what are the benefits that have been derived, what are the problems that this invention/discovery has thrown up, any furthur development you can think up of using this invention/discovery (ways it can be used/ things it can help develop/etc)

Have humans become too dependant on inventions? How ? Is it reversible?

TASK:--  Prepare a write up for the younger grades how you will give a presentation on the above statement-

" Have humans become too dependant on inventions?"

REMEMBER:- Your presentation should include
1. Short History of the invention/discovery 10%
2. Biography of the people involved in developing it 10%
3. its uses- benefits and problems 10 %
4. How are we dependant on inventions maybe so that we cannot do without them. It is necessary? 70%
